Stuff You See in Movies

God-Filled Saturday

Wedding Stuff

Today, I made another appointment (this one sooner than the one on June 4 -- May 28) to try on wedding dresses. I'm super excited! Gleiser and I will also be talking today about how we are going to divide the remaining responsibilities financially for the wedding. :) I'm so lucky to be marrying my best friend.

It's a God Thing

At about 2:00 PM today (03/26/16), the most amazing thing happened to me. I walked into a Payless because I was looking for shoes for the National Congress in a few days. When I walked in, I was greeted by a woman who asked if we spoke Spanish. I asked her if she was Puerto Rican, and the conversations started flowing. She has only been here for three months and said that she moved here because God had called her here. We told her about our church (which she was super happy about because she has been looking for a Spanish one since she got here).

Anyway, she looked at me and said "You lead a worship team don't you? You sing don't you?" I was kind of shocked and said "Yes. I do." Then she just nodded and grunted in agreement and showed me to where the shoes were. She came back a couple minutes later and started ministering to my life. I was in complete shock because here we are in the middle of a Payless and the manager is ministering to my life. I had NEVER had this happen before! Congreso hasn't even started, and God is already beginning to speak!

She gave me a word about my pastoral ministry, my marriage, my offspring, my anointing, my worship, breaking of yolks, deliverance from evil, changes in my life, confirmation of my marriage and calling to the ministry, and more. She also told me to come and see her when I come back from Congreso because she wants to know what God does in my life.

This woman. I have never met in my life. Just moved here from New York. Never had a conversation with her. Nothing. It was a God thing. We must always be willing to LISTEN to God's word and more importantly, have the valiance to speak whatever he puts in our hearts no matter where we are or who we are with.

AMAZING!
1 Samuel 16:23
And whenever the tormenting spirit from God troubled Saul, David would play the harp. Then Saul would feel better, and the tormenting spirit would go away.

Photographer Booked...Yikes

Spending Money is Hard

... Especially when a good photographer in Utah charges between $2800-3300 for a full day wedding package. Since January, I have been researching photographers like crazy. A couple of my friends suggested people that had done their weddings, and although there were good photographers, I was looking for someone with a little bit more experience. (After all, we are taking 18 months to plan this thing... we don't want to settle for anything less than exceptional - but, we also don't want to be broke).

Anyway, after plenty of research and being in touch with about 15 different photographers, we decided to go with these guys. They are seriously amazing! They have won title of being "Utah's Best Photographers" now three times in a row. They were a little on the pricier end ($2000), but they were still less than what most photographers wanted to charge us ($2800).  They are fantastic. We will get full day coverage, engagements, a 20X30 in canvas, and $150 toward engagements prints to post around the reception. Plus, free invitations!

We will be taking our engagements in July!

Another thing I did today was book my first wedding dress appointment! That will be taking place June 4th. I'm so excited! It's all coming together so fast already. (I still have no idea how people plan a wedding in less than 12 months. Someone please tell me the secret!)

Engagement

Por Fin. Finally. Finalement.

On December 31, 2015, Gleiser finally popped the question. :) Of course I said yes! We had been dating for 5 years (December 2010), so it was about time! I'm so excited to finally be able to marry the craziest person I know who also happens to be my best friend.

I had no idea that he was going to do it the last day of the year. I thought he was going to wait until graduation day and surprise me then, but I was wrong. In a few months, I will be deleting my social media and will just keep this blog up to date. If you wish to stay updated on our lives, you can subscribe (I think) to receive updates of when I post a new blog.

I'm just tired of social media. This way, only those that really care about us can stay updated on our crazy happenings.

I was so excited when I finally realized what was going on

Finally!

He did great decorating!

After the engagement :)

My dad is way more excited than I am that I am getting married. Haha!
